The US And Canada and maybe Britian are out of range of Saddam's nukes. (If he has any) They dont have the technology to do that.

Hmmm, first the most massive naval and air based bombardment in recent history, Drop a few divisions of airborne troops northeast of Baghdad, get armour to attack the south west from Saudi Arabia, an amphbious landing to take place in southern Iraq and Kuwait, and more ground troops and armour to spearhead northern Iraq from southern Turkey. That should get them Iraqius royally clusterfucked.

No, this is what should be done. Assemble a team of the worlds finest assault team and let them infultrate Baghdad and take out Saddam and his cohorts. Next step would be to invade and neutralize so a different government could be set up. Essentially what the forces would be doing, is to "Liberate" Iraq and to set it on a stable track.

i heard they where gonna use about 300 -400 tomahawks a day the first few days of the "war" . That should shell-shock the hell out of them and drive their urge to fight right into the ground . then we hit them with ground troops.

[quote="Sun Flower Boy":5dcbc]What if he uses bio and chemical weapons? The ones he supposedly doesn't have?[/quote:5dcbc]

If he does, the US and Britian will retaliate with Nuclear weapons......and no, thats not speculation. They will be low yield, probably deployed by Cruise Missles. Ofcourse if this happens, Australia's support for any war will be ultimately gone.

All he really needs is a little more time and funding and he could have a weapons launch platform capable of striking the United States, Canada, Britain, maybe even Australia. This is why the US is pushing the UN to do something instead of sitting around with their thumbs up their asses waiting for something to happen. The UN has been pathetically ignorant as far as Iraq and many other Arab states are concerned.

From what i've peaced together from interviews, conjecture and hear say. Is that the military is acctually going to be agressive in this campaign. The land assault will acompany the air war to take key targets. Such as the oil fields, to keep Sadaam from burning them again. It is slated to take up to two weeks to complete the campaign, a far cry from the 100 hours of the past conflict.

Sadaam's sons threat against the american people with September 11th style attacks only seemed to piss people off. The use of these tactics would only be suicide for Iraq. Especially if chemical or nuclear weapons are involved. US nuclear policy allows for retalitory nuclear weapons use. Meaning use them on the US and we send more, bigger ones your way.

Overall Sadaam stands a snow balls chance in hell of winning or even staying in power.

2) Ground troops / Armor to be sent into the cities to clear them out.
