On any map, if proper balance is not use, by both sides, the quality of the game is degraded. Objective MP is about teamwork. When playing any of these maps, talk to your teammates. Work together. I know this may be difficult on some servers, where there are not many regulars. People who play together, usually have specific roles they play, and understand what makes a good game. I think a class system mod would be great. But it definitely isn't a necessity. Autonomy is what should rule the MP community, not EA or 2015.

I agree... Snipers on this level are getting a bit old....
I wouldn't mind if they had 10 to 20 MG42's blasting away at the top of the ridge... to me that would seem a lot more realistic... similar to the SP.... but to sit on yer arse with an eye just looking at the entry points on the beach in the boats with your wimpy little sniper rifle, doesn't that get a little boring??...
If anything should be added to this map, I would say that a fog effect would be the way to go.... so those damn campers can't see the bottom of the beach... sure they might be able to see a slight shadow... somewhere but not all the time, keep them guessing where the allies are running to...
Sure, having fog would also be tough for the Allies as well... you wouldn't be able to tell exactly where the shot are coming from, just the occassional tracer bullet screaming by.....
On a final note, if anything would make this map the most playable would be if there were some sort of mod that prevents the use of any sniper rifles on Omaha....
But once again, that is just my opinion...

for those of you saying that banning or limiting sniper rifles would make the Axis god-like and unstoppable are wrong. If anything, no allied snipers would balance the game out nicely, since there would be more allies running up the beach and trying to blow up the objective than camping behind a hedgehog.

Attack the problem at its core. What's the key problem that makes this so much different from reality? It's not that the millitary generals of WWII were morons and didn't realize they could win the war easily by giving every soldier a sniper rifle, it's that sniper rifles are too effective in this game. Very few humans can sit in a boat and point a sniper rifle at one of those bunker guns with no movement. This game needs the sniper view to wobble up and down and side to side, with varying intensities, similar to Hitman: Codename 47. Also, when you fire a gun, the recoil should throw your aim by a mile.

Sounds great, but how would one go about coding a mod to do that? I'd vote for it I knew it was possible.
Allied snipers are too easy to kill. If you're the Axis then you find more original places to hide. Just last nite I ran out of rifle ammo several times because I was picking off all the Allied snipers hanging back at the LCVs looking to get some cheap shots on Axis players who decided to try their luck with the MG42's. After about 10 minutes, most of the Allied snipers gave up and switched weapons because they could never find out from where they were being hit. Then just with me and one other skilled sniper we managed to provide cover for our other teammates who used the 42's. LCV campers didn't fare too well either. They died quicker than the rest.
So you see, if you can discourage Allied players from sniping on the beach with your OWN gameplay, then that's all you really need to do. You won't even need a silly little petition.
Sheesh - are people afraid to ADAPT or what?

We hav to remember here, this is a multiplyer map. this is not supposed to be realistic. This is a bunch of kids who on't know what their doing, running around killing each other. I think they tried to even things out between the two sides to make it fair for everyone, not historically correct. If it were historically correct, you'd only make it like 1 out of every 100 or 1000 chance up the beach. just realize that no matter which side you play on, they tried to make it equal for everyone.

Hey guys i think the sniper problem on Omaha is a problem.I think more fog would solve that problem or have a limited zoom on rifle.
Just my 2 cents.
Peace out man

I think its pretty f00kin sad that you whinny ass kids would even vote for something like this. For one its childish that you cant play a game without whinning. Second your pathetic if you cant rid the snipers, and third your petition blows as bad as your momma cause in D-day their was no whinny ass kids like you, just soliders trying to stay alive. So I would advise you to quit your bitching and get in the game and learn how to take out a sniper. If you dont like that, then go play something else and leave the game to the people that enjoy it.

I noticed with FN2K's no sniper no rocket mod, he basically took the ammo out of both.
But isn't there away to simply limit the effective range of the sniper rifle and make the reload on the rockets very long?
Look at the files in his mod.
Wouldn't that be better compromise?

NO, it wouldn't. Again you're trying to suggest some unrealistic patching to enhance realism. It just doesn't work like that. Although Dogg's comment was rather harsh, his basic idea was a sound one: play the game and stop whining. If you don't like it, don't play it. Otherwise, work on encouraging the Modders to develop some class limitations (reasonable ones; see my previous post in this string). And why must you kids insist on bashing other players?
