Thing is, semen is medically known to soften the cervix (the agent they use to induce labour with long over-due mothers contains an active ingredient much like this). Sex is one of the best ways to induce labour (amongst other things like spicy food).

My girlfriend is getting very antsy and wants the baby out asap, cos it's bloody uncomfortable for her (Not surprising).

Put the two facts together.
