Default Breakthrough Skins ported to SH - 09-14-2003, 05:23 AM

Hey folks, dunno if I'm the first to do it, but here are the Axis Italian skins from Breakthrough ported over to Spearhead (will NOT work with AA).

What you get:

(I added the designations as I found them in the scripts done by EA)

axis_italian_6th_Coastal_Btn
The first Italian infantry skin from Breakthrough with a color-corrected hemet.

axis_italian_202nd_Infantry
The second Italian infantry skin from Breakthrough, with a color-corrected hemet.

axis_italian_Facist_Volunteer
The volunteer skin from Breakthrough.

axis_italian_Paratrooper
This one is interesting. The player model was crumpled up (dead), and appears only in what I believe single-player code. I "un-crumpled" him, added a helmet to match his coat, and fixed a few things with his equipment (cheesy low-res rifle belt replaced by re-skinned 3D model). Take it as a preview.

What you WON'T get:

Any of the new wepons (sorry) or Italian voices.

After downloading the file, just unzip it into your /mainta folder.

thats prety cool how you converted them they work great exept on some servers they kick you out for using costom skins lol well thanks oOo:

It was a static model of a dead body i found "laying around" in the code while looking for the others.

Thanks. Two months in anticipation, half-an-hour to download, and twenty minutes of boring, laggy gameplay inspired opening up the .pk3's right away.

well i saw some allied models in the Liberation end movie that i think u should make a skin pack of.

The only new player models/skins for the Allies I saw in those movies was an officer wearing sunglasses, and an American "Tanker" character, neither of witch I saw in the BT code.

Guess we'll just have to wait...

There is a bonus skin .exe at EA FTP. It wont install until BT is installed. Those skins youre looking for might be in that package.

Do you mean the BT demo, or the full retail version?

I found the .exe, but it says my copy of BT isn't valid.

I get the same message. And thats the file i was talking about. My guess is youll get more skins once youve installed the full version.
