I will call my flashlight a torch too; my cigarette can be called a fag.

And the USA English enlist many words from other languages, one of them being American Indian, not to mention many European countries. So the English you speak and I speak are quit different.

And considering the tire was invented in the USA my way is right and your way to spell it is wrong.
