Default Alienware vs Newegg - 05-12-2005, 12:52 PM

I picked out about the same items on newegg, making it so that it is most similar to the Aurora 5500. Newegg came out higher and I wasn't even done. That doesn't make much sense because I have always been told that Alienware is over-priced. So I guess they aren't if the newegg price is about $50-100 dollars more than a stock Aurora 5500. =\

Well it is true, with an Alienware laptop, you have nuclear weapon capabilities built in!

Alienwares usually cost about $1000-2000 more than a build depending what you put in it.

Exactly, Alienware is much MUCH more expensive as compared to building one then you think. You must be either doing SOMETHING wrong, or something because I have compared the two...I even threw in the Dell XPS Gen 4 and 5, along with Falcon PC's and VisionFX as well as IBUYPOWER.com....Best bet in terms of price is build on from newegg.com...I did and I am recieving my parts daily. Great job to newegg.com/

I picked the Aurora 5500, and on newegg, I tried to get as close as I could on every item, with only a few minors changes.
