If nothing happens then you have a stable OC and you can either leave it there or see if you can get it even higher.

If you get errors, then you have an unstable OC. You make get data corruption and possibly damage your hardware. If it's stable for at least 2 hours then you should be fine since one ever has their computer at 100% for more than a few minutes...

well I went from2.6 to 2.8 (slight improvment in frame rate) to 3.0 which was a HUGE difference in frame rate.

Go for it. You'll never know if 3.2 will work unless you try it out.

ok I did that test and I got this

FATALL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4912109375, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file
1 error and 0 warnings

in the stress file it says try to increase the voltage or low the speed and some other stuff, would that be wise? or should I lower the CPU down to 2.9 or 2.8? what should I do? [/url]

Try putting your CPU Vcore up to 1.550

If not, take the mhz down.

Minimal is nothing will happen at all. I had a 1.8ghz P4 at 2.4 that was 'unstable' and it never crashed or anything.

Worst is your CPU will burn up (possibly taking your whole computer with it)

Most likely would be nothing and maybe minor crashes at extended 100% loads once in a while.
