Default America loses another WW2 vet - 05-04-2007, 07:03 AM

I posted this in 92bengals but I think it deserves some life here.
This morning my grandfather who lived through the great depression and fought through WW2 died. He was 84 years old. When I get home I'll go scan some war pictures of him, I think they're pretty neat.

RIP GRAMPS! cry:

RIP, dude. Sorry for your loss. My grandparents are a little to young for WWII (just barely) but I can't imagine losing them anyway.

He drove trucks for the red ball express and from what he told me landed in Normandy like 5 days after d-day. Once told me he stole a car from a french guy happy:
His quality of life has been deteriorating over the years and wherever he is now, I'm sure its a lot better.
