So let me get this straight, you want a mirrored copy of AA on your hard drive along with the original? I don't think you can install it twice. Once its writes the game in your registry it will only try to repair/unistall it. I think the only way you'll be able to do this is to manually copy/paste all of the files, to have 2 copies on the same harddrive.

Why do you want to do this? Mod?

I don't recommend that if you want the second copy to function. All the shortcuts and registry values will point to the original, not the copy. If you just want a copy to fool around with the files themselves copy/paste away.

Making a partition on the drive and installing the second copy to that. See if that will work for you.

Great idea just be careful with partitioning a drive, it can result in complete disaster (Ya i found out the hard way).

Oh yes.

The best thing to do, is if he has TWO HD's too install that on one drive and then copy and paste.

Of COURSE - he can always get a RIPPED copy of the game that wont point to any registery settings if he's using it primarily to make a mod, and using his RETAIL to play the game.
