could someone tell me how to capture lightning, and just lightning. i dont want any of the background, so any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

You could use the pen tool and use paths to select it, but that would be really tedious. You might also try duplicating the layer, upping the contrast, and selecting with the magic wand. Once you have the selection, switch back to the other layer and cut it out.

Ive got a Filter that makes lightning...looks good...

i dont think thats what he mean but i like that filter none the less
he might want to make light?
if you want that use filter>render>lighting effects i think in ps7

in photoshop you can use a blurry brush.. select "colour dodge" for mode at teh top... then use a bright color over a dark background and than make your lightning on your own, if tahts what you wanted

no actually i was talking about this. taking a pickure with lightning in it, then removing everything in that picture, except the lightning. but as you can see by my half-made sig, i accomplished that. thanks for the help. and i will look for that program on kazaa. thanks for the advice

well i searched kazaa to no avail. i found nothing, if you have aim we could transfer it that way...
