And if you're considering a surround sound system, I assume you have a decent aftermarket...

winmx isn't too bad either. I use kazaalite for movies, software and games and winmx for all my mp3 needs. (just because it supports mp3's with bit rates over 128)

Actually, it's usually cheaper to build your own computer than it is to buy a prebuilt one from a computer store. I saved $1000 when i built mine.
