Aaaargghhhh My life was a shambles after they cancelled my AW3D. My friends disappeared and my love of flying crashed like a lead weight. I had a ball flying bombers with crewmembers and chatting while flying a 2 hour mission. When Air Warrior faded from view I had 15 to 20 hours a week of on-line time to fill in with surfing.

People call a game sucky because they can't realize that real life in not a kill a minute or INSTANT gratification. You have to work for it and running around in a war game with a shotgun is really being an azz-hole. You would not last 5 minutes in combat. You should have to post your age in a forum because I think too many 12 and 14 year olds have the wrong concept of actual life.

ok im getting off topic... but i sure would of been nice if EA had released the serverside software for AW3D I'd of been happy to set up a 120 player server!

I don't think it sucks, but I will probably never buy the retail expansion, either (Unless I get a great rebate or price cut).

The game itself is much like the first two, with added class of laying mines, which is rather neat.

The cutscenes between the Liberation battles suck ass, and need to be able to be disabled.

Liberation mode is decent, if everyone knows what they are doing. On a public server, it's a flame war waiting to happen. Defineatly a plus to have TS here.

That's all I really got right now. I only played it for about a 1/2 hour, until I got bored. I'l check it out later tonight if I have time.

I thought it was decent,

I thought gameplay was more like AA than SH (no more Quake-like speeds and you aim where the enemy will be a half a second away rather than thinking about where he'll be 5 seconds from when you fire)

I just wish they could have replaced the BAR for the Soviets with a DP-28,
but I guess this expansion focuses on "the Med"


I think this one may be better than SH, but it's a lower priority for me than Call of Duty (their demo has the two weapons everyone wanted in SH, the M1 Carbine and FG-42)

Besides the poor framerate and lag i thought it was pretty good. Maybe the full version will be better. Im gonna buy COD as well as Breakthrough.

While I'm annoyed with EA for implying that this was a AA expansion when it is a SH expansion, I still had fun with it. And folks that what important do you have fun playing the game. If you dont fine just dont hang around telling the people that do how much it sucks we really dont care.

Hmm.. Call of duty or Breakthrough... CALL OF DUTY. Sorry but breakthrough sucked, the only thing good about this game is the Vickers and a couple italian skins, o Ya and the hilarious italian taunts. But thats not for me to buy the game. What EA needs to do is make an expansion pack that has only new weapons and maps or maybe skins NOTHING ELSE, they shouldn't change the graphics, gameplay, dont bother with single player. PERIOD.

I enjoyed the demo, Id usually camp on allies with a DeLisle and just pop people in the dark and they have no idea where I am. Thats without a doubt the best night gun on the game because its accurate and makes no noise or flash. It was a bit laggy at first until I massacred my settings down and turned my brightness then became very enjoyable. I also like the face that people can no longer strafe and lean and hit things, that became annoying

Well, I haven't got the demo. I don't like demos.

I always wait for the full game. Anyway, When I started playing spearhead I thought, "well, this is okay". After a week or 2 I returned to Allied assault. It was just better than sh. Less amount of skins/weapons/maps. Quick and simple. I loved it.

Spearhead, I didn't like it at all. ANd none of my friends liked it either. But after a couple of months, I decided to give it one more chance.
And since my clan moved to sh, I had no choice, I could have left them, but I didn't.

I have been playing spearhead ever since then, and I like it a lot.

I think you guys have to give bt a chance. I dont think i'm gonna like it in the beginning, I will probably have the "I remember the great mohaa time" and return to spearhead/mohaa (if there are any servers left). But before pasific assault is released, I'm sure I have enjoyed lots of hours with breakthrough.

Quite true there. I really enjoyed AA when it first came out. Then when SH came out I played both SP and AA for a while unitll I basicly dropped AA.

Now I never thought SH was superior to AA but it was different and and the main reason I dropped AA was that it was quickly filling up hackers and Asshats. I play for fun and just dont need that hassle.

To this day I find that the SH comunity is in general a competitive but friendly bunch. Oh we have few Asshats but they are SH asshats so not really bad peeps.

As for BT I played it for a couple of days now and thinking the new aiming physics will add an intresting new development to the game. I see a lot of strats having to be reworked.

As for COD form the demo it looks great but any of you AA peeps think ur gonna run & strafe and acutally hit anything have a big shock comming for ya. The aiming physics are even more pronounced then BT.

we have a demo server goin ..and we will have a server for the full ver when it comes out ..

as a server admin i like the new vote options ..can disable rocket.and change allot of things without haveing to restart the server .

the skins are cool

the new weapons are cool

there are still some issues but i hope thay will work on them ..

i like it ,and my clan members like it so we are gona do it

I think that the demo is good, for the most part. They could have released some bigger maps, and some more player skins, i also dont like the british mg. But for the most part i like it and im prbaly goin to buy it when it comes out.

Lol. Besides the fundamental aspect of what makes an FPS fun to play lacking, it's "pretty good". Low standards yet again.

That's the problem here. For lack of anything else to play people go back to SH and all of a sudden the poor frame-rates, excessive packet loss, glitchy performance, buggy grenades, butt-sliding, crappy directional sound, juddery controls and all the other things that reduce the fun of the game are no longer a problem.

I bought SH second hand and I will never buy another EA product again because I know a poor, shoddy and below-average game when I see one.

It's all opinions at the end of the day, but in this case I just know my opinion holds more common sense. COD, in just 5 minutes worth of play, totally whipes the floor with MOH:BT. Utterly.

And then just watch the tech demos of HL2 and you should see where I'm coming from on this.

I've played worse. I think its better than SH, I will by the game, as im a big fan of the MoH series, However, we are all didappointed that Breakthrough isnt all that because, well, lets face it ... Allied Assualt is the GOD of all games and nothing else can compare.

5/5 for me.
